Mrs. Agnes W. Cook Dies in Port Huron
Mrs. Agnes W. Cook died Monday, Jan. 7, 1957, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Jess of Post Huron, where she had lived the past three years. She had been in poor health since last spring.
Mrs. Cook was born in Brockway Township, St. Clair County, April 29, 1874. Her parents were the late Mr. And Mrs. Thomas Brown. She moved to Evergreen Township with her parents when she was 11 years old.
She was married to James A Cook Dec. 27, 1899. Following their marriage, they lived in Lamotte Township and Saginaw, later moving to Evergreen Township. Mr. Cook died Jan. 12, 1954.
Survining are her daughter, Mrs. Jess; one son, Harold Cook of Ecorse; a sister, Mrs. Paul Leinhard of Cass City, and one grandchild. Three sisters and a brother proceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at little's Funeral Home, Rev. A.W. Sheehy of Port Huron officiating. Burial was in Elkland Cemetery.
Mrs. Cook had been a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Shabbona for 60 years.
