OBITUARY

MR. JAMES CROZIER J.P.

A prominent citizen of Dublin has passed away in the person of Mr. James Crozier, J.P., who died yesterday afternoon while supervising some work at his property off the South Circular Road. Mr. Crozier followed the profession of veterinary surgeon. For many years he was prominently identified with the civic life of Dublin, and associated himself with any movement to improve the condition of the poorer classes. As Alderman, and subsequently Councillor, for the East Clontarf Ward, he took an active part in the deliberations of the Municipal Council. Among the other bodies of which he was a member were the Richmond Asylum Committee, the North Dublin Board of Guardians, the Distress Committee, and the Sick and Indigent Roomkeepers Society. Within the past few days he presided over a meeting of the Distress Committee. His death will be much regretted by many friends among all sections of the community.
