My Mother, Betty Lucille Jones Cooper, 89 Lee's Summit, MO passed Saturday March 30, 2013 at the John Knox Village Care Center in Lee's Summit, MO.

Funeral services Wed April 3, 2013 11:00am with a visitation 1hr prior to the service at funeral home. Burial in the Lee's Summit Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.

Betty Lucile Jones Cooper was born January 3, 1924 in Lee's Summit, MO. Her parents were William and Alice Hample Jones, a pioneer family of Lee's Summit.

She was granddaughter of Jeremiah Jefferson Jones of Ross County, Ohio and Lucina Melvina Miller Jones of Racine, Wisconsin. Both buried here in the Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery... Also she is the Granddaughter of Wendel Hampel and Henriette Forsyth Hampel, they are also buried here in L.S. Cem.

She attended school in Lee's Summit and retired from AT&T. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lee's Summit for over 60 years.

She married Clifford W. Cooper on April 2, 1944 and he preceded her in death along with her parents, 1- brother William Austin Jones and 1-sister Eleanor Louise (Jones) Davis.

Survivors are Marilyn Sue (Cooper) Rowan, Larry Clifford Cooper and Christopher Neal Cooper.

Lee's Summit, Mo.

Betty's oldest son, Larry C. Cooper and his wife, Sherry (Gragg) Cooper of Lake Wood have been married for forty-three years.

Her youngest son, Christopher N. Cooper of Lee's Summit and wife Faye I. (Masten) Greenwood Cooper have been for nine years.

Betty has three grandchildren Neil Cooper, Alicia (Cooper) Manade, and Jeremy Rowan.

Five great grandchildren

Betty had several Nieces & Nephews of extended families of Cooper, Foote, Spainhour, Davis, King.

My mother, she was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend!

She was buried in the Historical Lee's Summit Cemetery on the 3rd day of April 2013.
