Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with visitation for one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji, MN.
Lanny Ray Preston was born February 10, 1943 in Park River, ND to Omer and Eva (Wilcox) Preston. He worked in Minneapolis most of his adult life. He retired from Metalergical in Mpls. and moved to Bemidji to be close to family. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and getting together with friends.
He is survived by his brother, Omer (Olive) Preston, Bemidji, MN; Sisters, Donna (Grant) Settingsgard, Edmore, ND; Lucine Renskers, Hibbing, MN; Kathryn Osmundson, Bemidji, MN; Lorraine Brownlee, Hibbing, MN; Janice (Delbert) Bahr, Brainerd, MN; Naomi (Robert) Erickson, New Braunsfels, TX; Penny (George) Huffman, Bemidji, MN and Candice Kilpela, Hibbing, MN.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ernest Preston, Roger Preston and infant brother John Rodney Preston, Sisters, Gwenith Mouton and Vivian Fisher and special friend, Phillis Havir.
