Marilyn Joanne Bottger, 77, of Burlington died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at Great River Medical Center - Klein Center.
Born January 3, 1936, she was the daughter of Clarence and Hazel Eads Jackson. Mrs. Bottger attended Reiter Country School, Oak Street Jr. High School and graduated from Burlington High School in 1954. She helped organize class reunions every year.
Mrs. Bottger worked at Holiday Inn and Midwest Federal Bank before retiring several years ago.
Mrs. Bottger was a member of West Burlington Christian Church and was an active member in the Women's Fellowship. She loved to go to restaurants with her various groups of friends. She loved playing games, writing letters, organizing reunions and was an avid movie fan - going every Saturday while she was able.
Survivors include one son, Tracy Beard; one grandson, Ian Beard; one step daughter, Debbie Haworth; and one step grandson, Todd Haworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Beard; one step son, Curt Bottger and her brother, Bob Jackson.
