He had taken treatment for the dread disease at sanatoriums at Milwaukee, Waukesha and the past five weeks was a patient at the new Beaver Dam hospital, but the disease failed to yield under the best of care and skillful treatment of his nurses and physicians.
Edward Haertle was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Math. Haertle for long years respected citizens of this city. He was born here June 10th 1878 and resided here his entire life. In July 1904 he was married to Miss Emilie Tesch, who, together with two children, Ralph and Clara survive to mourn his early demise. Besides these he is survived by three brothers and one sister, Jos. of Muskego Lake, Andrew and William and Mrs. Emeron Bachhuber all of this city. One infant daughter preceded the father in death.
The funeral services take place this morning from the late home to St. Mary's Catholic church and he will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
Rev. Otto Haertl of Sullivan, a relative of the deceased will conduct the services. The pall-bearers are: Leon Clark, Jos. Bachhuber, Emil Ziegler, John Hollenstein, Frank Bachhuber and Henry Schumacher.
To the mourning relatives we extend condolences in their hour of bereavement.
