A very old partial listing for this cemetery included "Rev Will Walker" along with the notation "Ordained Baptist Minister for 34 Years". It is not known whether this notation was on an old tombstone or had been added by the indivdual who compiled that listing. A photographic survey was conducted in 2010. A small "new" stone inscribed only "Rev Will Walker" was found; it was erroneously used to create a memorial for the original William Walker, born ca 1809 in NC, who was listed in 1840 Gilmer census with wife and two sons. According to 1850 census, William's wife was Frances "Fannie" Walker. This error is in process of being corrected.
