Mrs. Ida Destereft, 79, Rt 1, Lena, died Tuesday afternoon at a Green Bay nursing home.

The former Ida Zarling was born June 29, 1902 in Gillett. She married the late Otto Desterheft on Feb. 2, 1921 in Gillett and lived in rural Lena since 1946. Mrs. Desterheft was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Lena.

Survivors include one son, Arold, Lena; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Orgena Margaret) Katatsch, Manitowoc. six grandchildren, one great grandchild, two sisters; Mrs. Olga Krueger and Mrs. Orgena Block, both of Gillett.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963, one daughter Verona and three brothers, Reinhold, Alex and Hubert.

Friends may call at the Soulek Funeral Home, Lena, after 4 pm. Funeral 10am Friday at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, Lena, with Rev. Warren Steffenhagen officiating.

Burial in Saint Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Gillett.
