Doris Beeson Arnett, 83, of Barnwell, died Feb. 16, 2011 at UPAC of Barnwell. Funeral service was held Feb. 19 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard McWhite officiating. Burial was in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport with Eastern Star Rites accorded. Mole Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Arnett was born on Nov. 9, 1927 in Splendora, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Eddie and Annie Laura Tucker Beeson. She was first married to the late Lester Godejohn and later to the late Philip "Cap" Arnett. She was predeceased by a son, Jerry Godejohn. She was a retired employee of Shuron Inc. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Harmony Hope Chapter Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Past Worthy Matron and Secretary. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of El Bab Shrine Club. Survivors include two daughters, Faye (Don) Hughes and Jenny (Ted) Mayo; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial maybe made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children in care of Omar Shrine Center, 176 Patriots Point St., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
