He was a member of the Maine Army National Guard, the 133rd Engineering Battalion, Charlie Company.
He is survived by his wife Rachelle; two sons Danny R Simard of Arizona; Michael A Simard of Auburn, ME; four daughters Catherine and her husband Carl Rodrigue of Arizona; Sandra and her husband David Rossignol of Sabattus, ME: Tanny and her husband Jeffrey Lever of Arizona; Lisa and her husband Elwin Scott of Lewiston, ME; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister Therese and her husband Carl Seger of Virginia.
He is predeceased by his parents; a brother Leo Simard; a sister Anita Ruel.
