Jetmore,Ks---Wallis Otis Demoret,85, of Jetmore,KS,died on Tues. July23,1964 at the Hodgeman County hospital,Jetmore,KS. He had been in ill health about two years and in the hospital for three weeks.

He was born April 27,1879 in Indiana and had come to Hodgeman county in 1916 from Pretty Prairie,Ks and farmed 16 miles west of Jetmore. He and Grace Cohoon were married on March 1,1939 at Hoxie,Ks. They moved to Jetmore,Ks in 1944. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.

Survivors include the widow, Grace of the home; three sons: Clarence(Mildred) Demoret of Jetmore,KS, Harold(Frankie)Demoret of Dover,Ark, Winfred Demoret of Tulsa,Ok; two daughters, Isabel(Dee) Potroff of San Bernardino, Calif, and Opal(Kenneth)Eichman of Jetmore,KS.;two step-sons, Vernon(Edith)Cohoon and Harry(Pauline)Cohoon both of Jetmore; brother, Rev. James Demoret of McPherson; four sisters, Lila Dunn of Gerber,Calif, Minnie Dugger of Citrus Heights,Calif, Vangie Imes and Ethel Grasham of Poplar Bluff, Mo; 27 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
