Daniel J. turner, 59, well known news stand operator and former postmaster of Clarksville, was found dead about 5:30 Monday night in a building near his home at Clarksville.

After an early life spent at farming, Mr. Turner served 18 years as postmaster at Clarksville, retiring from this position four years ago and has since operated a news stand at Clarksville.

Mr. Turner was a Republican and was rather active in political affairs. He was a member of the P. O. S. of A. at Rices Landing.

A son of the late Joseph and Annabelle Cox Turner, Mr. Turner married Miss Nellie Beglin who survives with the following children: Mrs. Harold Wilkinson, Waynesburg; Mrs. John Hackney, Clarksville; Mrs. Betty Darney, Philadelphia; Darrell and Leroy Turner, Midland; Mrs. Earl Foley, Millsboro, and June, Warren, John and Catherine, all at home.

One brother, W. J. Turner, of Clarksville, also survives.
