Mary was born Aug. 6, 1908 in Sheboygan to Martin and Franciska Braeger. She attended local schools.
On March 29, 1930 Mary was united in marriage to Ferdinand (Fred) F. Krause. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1993.
For a number of years, Mary was employed at Leverenz Shoe Co. and later retired from Wigwam Mills.
Mary was a faithful member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Mary enjoyed crocheting many beautiful items for her family and liked watching the birds feeding in her yard. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan with a particular fondness for Brett Favre. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and especially loved being called “Grandma Great.”
Mary is survived by the joy of her life, her only child, LaVern “Sonny” J. Krause and his wife, Jeanette, whom she loved as her daughter; two granddaughters and their husbands, Diane Krause-Stetson and James Stetson of Chicago and Elkhart Lake and Sarah and Donald Endres of Fond du Lac; and two very special great-granddaughters, Madelaine and Eleanore Endres. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Peter LaVern, and three sisters.
Grandma will be dearly missed and always remembered by her loving family. They are so very grateful to have been blessed so many years with her love.
