John J. Pfeifer, 93, Morland, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney. He was born April 9, 1919, in St. Peter to Joseph and Barbara (Schafer) Pfeifer.
He married Anna (Schreiner) Pfeifer on May 29, 1939. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Larry Pfeifer, Marysville; two daughters, Elaine Henne, Holyrood, and Karen Gebhard, Long Island; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Peter; burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony Cemetery Fund or Masses in care of the funeral home.
