Daughter of Zadock and Jane Conner. She married Christopher Grider on December 14, 1830 in Putnam County, Indiana. He was the son of Jacob and Mahala Grider.
To this union five children were born Henry, Samuel, Eliza, Hamilton and James.
Christophers robate dated December 17, 1853 appraiser of his personal property were T. Futherson, Richard Futherson and John Shadle.
After Christopher's death she married John Shadle on August 11, 1856 in Davis County, Iowa. (Book A Page 50)
She died the following year.

The 1870, 1880, and 1900 census records show Mary living with son Samuel Z. Grider in Bloomfield, Davis Co., Iowa.
The 1902 Democrat Paper, Bloomfield, Davis Co., contains an obit for Grandma Mary Conner Grider Shadle that shows she died 30 Nov 1902.
It appears Mary & John divorced sometime before 1870 because John remarried on 17 Jul 1870 to Elizabeth Barker.
