Her loving husband of 54 years George J. Steiger, died in 2009.
She had six daughters: Patricia Clark of Boylston, Jacqueline Nitti and her husband Richard of Worcester, Linda Volungis and her husband John Volungis, Sr. of Auburn, Barbara Fields and her husband Ray of Texas and Gay Gallant and her husband Dennis of Maine; a son-in-law, William Alubavicius of Worcester; also survived by 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Alubavicius, a grandson, John E. Volungis, Jr., and sisters, Pauline Jenket and Marcella Maloney, and her son in law Arthur Clark.
Anne was born and educated in Fitchburg, MA. She was the daughter of the late Rosario and Laura (Madon) Robert. In her spare time, Anne loved dancing, playing cards and travelling.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, April 4th from 10:30-11:30 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral service will be held at 12 PM in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 25 School Street, Auburn. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Worcester.
