MARGARET MCCARTHY

Mrs. John (Margaret) McCarthy, 79, of Cato, died after a brief illness at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc early today.

The former Margaret Nate, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nate. She married John McCarthy on June 4, 1913. He died March 6, 1965.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Frank Bartel of Sheboygan, Mrs. Pat Keeley of Great Lakes, Mrs. Elmer Fischer and Mrs. Eddie Englebrecht, both of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Lester Gerl of Valders; two sons, Leroy McCarthy of Cato and Earl J. McCarthy of Manitowoc; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Nate of Grimms and Archie Nate of Manitowoc. Mrs. McCarthy was a member of the St. Mary Catholic church in Clarks Mills and a member of the Holy Name Society of the parish.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Clarks Mills at 10 a.m. Thursday. Friends may call at Shimons Funeral Home in Reedsville after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Clarks Mills cemetery.
