RESIDENT OF COUNTY SIXTY YEARS IS DEAD
Wolfgang Neumeyer, 68, a resident of Manitowoc County for nearly sixty years, passed away last night at the hospital here after a short illness of complications. For years he was engaged in farming at Alverno, until he retired a few years ago. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning from the old homestead, now occupied by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Backhaus and from the St. Joseph's Catholic church at Silver Lake.
The deceased was born in Germany in 1862 and came to America when a boy of eleven. His parents settled on the farm in this county and he grew to manhood here and located on the farm. He was married forty-five years ago to Mary Heinzen who preceded him in death seven years ago. He was a member of the Holy Name society.
Four daughters survive. They are Mrs. Jos. Bogenschuetz of Cleveland, Mrs. Herman Gehrig, Sheboygan, Mrs. Agnes Heinzen, Milwaukee and Mrs. Joseph Backhaus of Alverno. One brother, Joseph Neumeyer of Quarry and thirteen grandchildren also survive.
