Emeline was the daughter of Joseph P. and Emma (Monette) Prieur, both of Canada. She weighed only 2 pounds at birth, and was place in a cotton-filled shoebox on an oven door to keep her alive. She married Ernest Jackson Neville and resided in Flint, Michigan. They had three sons, the first son David, died at birth. She was grandmother to 11 children. She passed away from congestive heart failure.
