Joseph Leo Beaudin, 79, Jacksonville FL, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at Baptist Medical Center South. Leo or Mr. B, as he was known by family and friends was born December 1st, 1933 in Hammond, the son of Alcid Sr. and Jeanette. He graduated from Redwood High School. Leo married Judy M. Wills in Redwood, NY on November 21st, 1959. He was a long-time member of the Redwood Fire Department. Leo retired from the New Jersey National Guard in 1989. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. Leo is survived by his wife, Judy; of 53 years; two daughters, Barbara Beaudin, Jacksonville, FL and Peggy-Sue (Beaudin) Beenken, Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Moneek Langston (Christopher) and grandson Garrett Beenken, Jacksonville, FL; brother, Alcid Beaudin (Pam), Alexandria Bay, N.Y., sister, Alice Felder (Charlie), Clayton, N.Y and Luther Beenken, Jacksonville, FL, plus many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew. Leo will be missed by his faithful pup, Toots. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Rene' and sister, Aline. The family had a memorial service at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on March 28th, 2013. Three volleys of shots were fired in his honor along with the playing of Taps. The military also presented an American Flag to his wife. The family will be having funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Jun. 7th, at the Redwood Catholic Church, Redwood, N.Y. Burial will follow in Redwood Cemetery. Reception will follow at the Redwood Catholic Church. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff of Baptist South for their wonderful care and support.
