He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. At his retirement, he was employed by Abreau and Robeson Architects. His wife was the late Margaret Byrum Auclair.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia A. Hawkins (Edward) of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Jennifer Jameson (Clint) of Mobile, A, Jonathan Hawkins (Amy) of Atlanta, GA, Joanna Hawkins of San Francisco, CA; great grandchildren, William and Ella.
