GILES "ARTHUR" AGNEW, son of Isaac Phillip and Anna Louise Coolbaugh Agnew, was a native of Wyoming County, a member of Demunds Methodist Church and spent most of his life in that community.

Rev Clark Calender, of Kingston Township, married Giles "Arthur" Agnew and Edna Lilly Wilson, daughter of Andrew J. and Ruth E. Husted Wilson, on 8 March 1901. Edna Lilly Wilson was born April 1886 in Pennsylvania.

Giles "Arthur" and Edna Agnew were separated in 1909 and divorced Tuesday, 17 May 1910, due to Arthur's jealousy.

Edna Lilly Wilson Agnew remarried on 8 June 1910 at the Courtdale M. E. parsonage to Ferdinand "Ferd" DeWitt Ferrell, son of John R. and Mary Jane Smith Ferrell. The Rev. J. R. Wagner officiated. Edna Lilly Wilson Agnew and "Ferdinand "Ferd" DeWitt Ferrell had nine children: Orval Ferrell, Wilson Ferrell, Kenneth Ferrell, Naomi Ferrell, Leatha Ferrell, Calvin Ferrell, Russell Eugene Ferrell, Ruth Opal Ferrell and Eva M. Ferrell.

Giles "Arthur" Agnew, aged 68, died on Friday, 20 May 1949 at General Hospital, where he had been a patient since March 3rd. Burial services were held at on Monday, 23 May 1949 at 2 p.m. from the home. Rev. Arthur Andrews and Rev. John O. Lindquist officiated. Interment was in Marsh Cemetery, Center Moreland, Wyoming, Pa.

Flower carriers were Betty Vavrek, Artie Mae Agnew, Barbara Vavrek, Glen Meyers and Carl Vavrek. Bearers were James Agnew, Robert Meyers, Delmar Durland, Charles Meyers, Carl Groner and James Wivell.

Surviving was a son Claude, Idetown; brothers and sisters, Frank, Tunkhannock; Mrs Jennie Groner, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs Ethel "Bessie" Durland, Falls; James T., Kingston; Ransom, Luzerne; Mrs. Blanche Meyers, Lake Carey; three grandchildren.

Edna Lilly Wilson Angew Ferrell died in 1959. Interment in Wardan Cemetery, Dallas, Luzerne, Pennsylvania.
