The funeral will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 at the Bossuot funeral home. Rev. Norman T. Herbert, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery here.

Surviving Mr. Christman are his wife, the former Margaret Hammond, two daughters, Janice 3, and Holly, 2, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Christman; one bother, Ross Christman and one sister, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Brady, all of Carthage.
Born in Carthage Sept. 9,1927, George Russell Christman was the son of Robert O. and Erma Perrigo Christman. He attended Carthage schools including Carthage High school and served for two years with the Air Force from December 1945 to January 1947. He was on duty for six months in Weisbaden, Germany, with the 32nd Statistical Control unit.
Following his discharge, he worked for the post engineers at Camp Drum for seven years and more recently had operated a farm on the old State Road.
Mr. Christman was married to the former Miss Margaret Hammond on April 4, 1953 in a ceremony performed by Rev: Harold H. Barnard, pastor at that time of the Carthage Methodist Church.
He was a member of Riverbank Grange.
