Mrs. Anna M. Hafer, wife of Rev. L.B. Hafer, died at her late residence in Taneytown on Thursday afternoon, November 28, 1940, at 2:30 o'clock, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Hafer was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary A. Null, born near Taneytown and spent all her life in that neighborhood. She was first married to Harry A. Allison, who died eleven years ago. In September 1935, she was married to Rev. L.B. Hafer. She is survived by her husband and two brothers, George M. Null, Nachusa, Ill., and Jacob D. Null, Hanover, Pa., also by a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 P.M., meeting at the house, with further services in the Lutheran church of Taneytown. The pastor, the Rev. A.T, Sutcliffe, will officiate.
