OSCAR LARSON

Oscar Larson, 81, of 841 N. Fifth St., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. He had suffered a stroke Thursday.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. W.A. Ballerud will officiate and burial will be in Gjerpen Cemetery in the Town of Cato.

Mr. Larson was born in the Town of Cato Oct. 20, 1876, son of the late Ole and Marie Holm Larson.

He married Inga Hanson Sept. 1, 1909, and the couple located on the homestead farm on Rt. 1, Manitowoc, remaining there until 1936.

The couple came to Manitowoc where Mr. Larson was employed by the city until his retirement in 1950.

Survivors include his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Harland Krueger of Rt. 1, Kiel, Mrs. Harry Bull of Manitowoc, Miss Ida Larson of Washington D.C., and Mrs. Stan Ketchell of Buffalo, N.Y.; five sons, Ralph of LaMesa, Calif., and Grant, Donald, Reuben and Harlan of Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m. Tuesday until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
