Plymouth and Brownville Jct: Charles P Farrar, aged 83, died April 7, 2013 at his Plymouth home with his family. He was born in Brownville Jct. on Oct. 16, 1929, the son of Archie and Ada (Doyle) Farrar. Charles graduated from Brownville Jct. High School in the Class of 1949. Charles was stricken with Polio at an early age and from then on had to get around on crutches or later in life, with use of a wheelchair. This never stopped him from fully participating in life. Charles is remembered for his positive attitude and great sense of humor. He loved old cars and rebuilding them. At one time he owned an auto salvage yard. He loved to be outside in nature and especially loved camping and fishing.

Charles is survived by his wife, Marlene Farrar of East Millinocket, one son and his wife: Robert and Laurine Farrar of Plymouth: four daughters; Charlene Marshall and her husband Ralph of Guilford, Evelyn Farrar of Long Island N.Y., Frances Cloutier and her husband Gerard of East Millinocket, June McMoarn and her husband Shawn of Medway, four brothers; Leon Farrar and his wife Barbara of Brownville Jct., Ralph Farrar of Brownville Jct., Bert Farrar and his wife Sue of Brownville Jct., Walter Farrar and his wife Deanna of Brownville Jct., 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins including Gerald MacLean of Bangor.
He was predeceased by an infant son: Alvin L Farrar; two sisters: Carolyn MacDonald and Lucille Ireland, two brothers: Vaughn Farrar and Kendall Farrar.
Graveside funeral services were conducted 10 AM, May 6, 2013 at Sawyer Cemetery (Route # 7) Plymouth, Maine with Hospice Chaplin Tim Curtis officiating. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to be made to Hospice of Eastern Maine 885 Union St. Suite 220, Bangor, Me 04401.(Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center Newport)
