Mrs. Malinda Abbott died of heart failure at her home in Republic, Kas. Friday, at the age of 79 years. She had been ill for several months and her death was not unexpected.
Mrs. Abbott had lived at Republic since 1891 and was known and loved by every citizen. She was a member of the Baptist church and was a devoted worker for that institution.
She leaves three sons, J.A. Abbott of this city, Elmer of Lincoln, Nebr., and James of Illinois, and two daughters, Mrs. E. Simms and Mrs. R. Vance of Republic.
The funeral was held Sunday at the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Taylor of Kackley and burial was made in the Lake cemetery.
