RISING STAR - Darwin Glen Aaron, 17, of Rising Star died at 2 a.m. Thursday in M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ. Owen Aiken will officiate. Burial will be in Rising Star Cemetery, directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home. Born Sept. 15, 1962, in Gorman, he was a student at Rising Star High School. Survivors include his parents, Haldayne and Jerry Don Aaron of Rising Star; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Metsgar of Abilene, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Vogt of Corpus Christi, Mr. and Mrs. U.Z. Aaron of Rising Star, and Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Hamrick of Comanche; great-grandmother Addie London of De Leon; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
