Mrs. Clara Bauer, 77, of 1211 S. 13th St., Manitowoc died Monday morning at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she was a patient six days.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred
Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Silver Lake,
where the Rev. D. F. Hurley will officiate.
The former Clara Kortens was born July 2, 1882, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter
of the late Edward and Caroline Delsman Kortens. She was married to John Bauer
June 24, 1903. He died in 1926 and in 1946, Mrs. Bauer moved to Manitowoc. She
was a member of the St. Ann Christian Mothers Society of St. Boniface Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Daniel Novy and Mrs. Quirin C. Lensmire, a son,
John, and three grandchildren of Manitowoc; and a brother, Arthur, of Francis
Creek. Two daughters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock
this Tuesday evening.
