Thomas Comer of Manitowoc Rapids died at his home on Sunday,
November 30. His illness was a brief one and he died directly after
having walked about his room. He was born in county Mayo, Ireland
and at the time of his death was 76 years of age. He immigrated to
Canada in 1847 and two years after came to Manitowoc Rapids where
he resided until the time of his death. He was the father of five
children all whom survive him. He was a man of broad and liberal
views, strong in mind and a man who kept himself well informed both
in current events and the history of the past. His remains were
interred at Silver Lake cemetery.
