Glennie Manning Lewis, 70, of Kinston passed away Monday, April 18, 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Mary "Ms.Susan" Ansau Jarman Manning, husband, Bryan Clifton Lewis, Sr.; and son Bryan Clifton "Rocky" Lewis, Jr.; daughter Shelby Jean Lewis and son-in-law Harley Franklin Guy . She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lewis Guy of the home; sister Ruby Hines of Sweetwater, Tennessee, three grandchildren, Penny Asby and husband, John, David Guy and Joshua Lewis; two great-grandchildren, Blair Asby and Lauren Asby; and daughter-in-law Diane Nelson. Aunt Glennie was the world's best cook and I remember her and Uncle Bryan raising hunting dogs as long as I can remember. She is loved and will be deeply missed.
