Mrs. Dora Shack, 77, died Saturday at the home of her son, William Block, in Herreid. She was the mother of Mrs. Alvina Herrboldt, 312 9th Ave. S.E.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harvey G. Feustel officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The Huebl Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
All relatives are to meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the basement of the church.
Mrs. Shack was born Aug. 6, 1881, at Freeman. She married John Block in 1900 at Webster. He died in 1908. She then married Daniel Shack in 1909 at Tolstoy. Mr. Shack died in 1916. She had been living with her son in Herreid since 1958. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son, Leo Shack, Tolstoy; six daughters, Mrs. Herrboldt; Mrs. Louis Schile, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Ralph Neilan, Sheltenham, Md.; Mrs. Milton Sheldrick, Redwood City, Calif.; two brothers, John and Phillip Schneider, both of Roscoe; three sisters, Mrs. Kate Sterm, Roscoe; Mrs. George Mertz, Sandy, Ore., and Mrs. Gotleib Busloth, Rapid City; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
