Mrs. Eads Dies In Colorado

Mrs. Retta Mayfield EAds, 73, died Friday at her home in Greeley, Colo.
Services will be announced later by the Strode Funeral home. Services and burial are to be in Stillwater.

Mrs. Eads is survived by a brother, C.E. Mayfield, 123 W. 14, and a sister, Mrs. E.A. Walters, 1602 Penn, both of Stillwater.
Mrs. Walters was en route to Greeley to visit her sister when word was received of her death. Mrs. Walters was in Wichita, Kas., when she received notice of the death of her sister.
The pall bearers will be Otis Clark, Dave Rush, Glenn Houston, Calvin Houston, Clarence Shaffer, Lee Price.

Eads Funeral Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Retta Mayfield Eads, 73, who died in Greeley, Colo., Friday, will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Strode Funeral chapel, with Rev. Romans Smith, pastor of the First Christian church in charge.
Burial will be in Fairlawn under the direction of Strode Funeral home.

Mrs. Eads was born in Lawrence, Kas., April 24, 1875, the daughter of George and Annie Mayfield. She was married to Fred Eads in Council Grove, Kas., in 1894.

The couple came to Oklahoma in 1898 and settled near Stillwater. Later they moved into Stillwater where Eads was a barber. In 1917 the moved to Colorado and have lived most of the time since at Greeley.

She was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include a son, Harold Eads of Miami, Fla.; two brothers, C.E. Mayfield, 123 W. 14 and Ed Mayfield of Arkansas City, Kas.; two sisters, Mrs. E.A. Walters, 1602 Pennsylvania and Mrs. Ralph Smith of Cordell, Okla., and two grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1940. Two daughters, Ola and Iva, also preceded her in death.
Bearers will be James C. Settles, William Hale, J.A. McNeff, Harry Hoke, E.C. Baker and O.D. Duncan.
