ROGERS — Billy Joe Pinson, 71, of Rogers died Dec. 4, 1998, at his home.

He was born Dec. 26, 1926, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Chester and Myrtle Hill Pinson. He was a chef at Holiday Inn and Wyatt Cafeteria and was an Army veteran of World War II. He had lived in the area since 1975.

Survivors include his wife, Vonda Lee Pinson of the home; one son, Paul R. Benton of Rogers; one daughter, Cissy Dark of Rogers; two sisters, Wanda Edwards of Bentonville and Wilma Moeller of Wichita Falls, Texas.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Cremation arrangements are by Rollins.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Mary’s Hospice.
