Patricia "Pat" P. Castiglione, a resident of Pennswood Village, Newtown, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at St Mary Medical Center, Middletown Township. She was 81. She was the wife of Charles B. Castiglione, to whom she was happily married for 61 years. Born in Evanston, Ill., a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Wynn Potter, she attended St. Mary's College at Notre Dame and Hunter College in New York. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Charlie and the period of time they spent living in Mexico City, as well as playing the piano, crocheting and swimming. She was also a Red Cross Volunteer Nurse for many years. One of Pat's favorite places was her family's home on Lake Manitou, in Indiana. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mary Margaret (Tony) Albano, Lois (Scott) Forrest, Pat (Ken) Oakley and Carmelyn (Eric) Bachman; four sons, Louis, Charles, Ralph (Katherine) and Joseph (Linda) Castiglione; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a brother, Don Potter. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Pat's Life Celebration Friday, Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, where her Funeral Mass will be at noon. Interment will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions sent in Pat's name to the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown 18940, would be appreciated by her family.
