According to his Sept. 12, 1918 WWI Draft Registration card, Joubert Dewey Edwards was a farmer, son of James Harvey Edwards, and living in Grandview, Carroll Co., Ark. He was b. Jan. 23, 1900, was of medium height and build, and had light blue eyes and light brown hair.

Joubert married Ruth Sherman Jun. 22, 1919.

In the Jan. 22, 1920 U.S. census, 20 yr. old Joubert D., b. in Arkansas and 21 yr. old Ruth, b. in Mo. were living in Cross Twp., Carroll Co., Arkansas.

In the Apr. 4, 1930 U.S. census, 30 yr. old carpenter, Joubert Sherman was living with his 31 year old wife at 1361 Ave., El Sereno , Pasadena, l.A. Co., Ca. with their children:
10 yr. old son Clifford
8 yr. old (Charles) Reno
6 yr. old daughter, Delphine and
