Betha B. Hicks, 94, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2013, in an area care center. Family visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, in Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Earl Dunn officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, in Eden Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral home. Betha was born July 12, 1918, in the Ray community near Miles to Will and Emma (Lloyd) Aylor. She was one of 12 children. She was married to Pat Adair and had three children, Patsy Cordell, Joe Adair and Deloris Hunt. Betha owned Belaire Beauty Shop for 27 years and was a popular and successful stylist. She had a great sense of humor, crocheted millions of afghans and loved to cook. Betha was happily married to Clinton Alton Hicks for 32 years. They enjoyed traveling with Good Sam's in their R.V., playing bridge and square dancing. She was a charter member of Harris Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a daughter, Patsy Cordell; and a son, Joe Adair. Survivors include her daughter, Deloris Hunt and husband Don; daughter-in-law Pam Adair; stepson Bob Hicks and wife Connie; grandchildren Christy Adair, Donna Grundy, Dean Hunt and wife Ruth, Deanne Wohleking, Carla King, Anthony Cordell, Patrick Cordell, Stephen Hicks and Holly Diggs; a sister-in-law, Dixie Dyer; great-grandchildren Hunt Grundy, Collin Grundy, Katie Wohleking, Tailor and Cameron Hunt and several Cordell great-grandchildren. A special thank you to Glen Meadows Baptist Church for blessing her with visits and flowers; Karen Peiser and Southland Baptist Church for their special visits; Meadow Creek Nursing Home for their loving care; and Odyssey Hospice for her end of life care.
