Ben Junior Allen, age 57, a resident of Richmond, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mr. Allen was born June 25, 1955 in Floyd County, Kentucky the son of the late Clyde and Cynthia Miller Allen. Also, proceeding in death is one brother, Earl Allen, three sisters, Joyce Allen, Margie Thompson, Lucy Allen, and one sister in law, Joyce Lynell Allen.
Mr. Allen retired from the City of Richmond and was a member of the Free Victory Pentecostal Tabernacle. He enjoyed vintage cars and loved his family.
In his passing he leaves behind two children Jeff Allen and wife Shawna of New Madison, Ohio, Gina Black and husband Jason of West Manchester, Ohio, four grandchildren, Serenity Scouggs, Brook and Blake Black, and Shiya Allen, two brothers, Warnie Allen of Salyersville, Kentucky, Rick Allen and wife Paula of Richmond, Indiana, three sisters, Theria Rowland and husband Johnny of West Harrison, Indiana, Ann Bailey and husband Donnie of Richmond, Indiana, Mazie Williams and husband Freeman of Richmond, Indiana. Also, surviving is a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Ben Junior Allen will be conducted Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 4:00 PM from the Pine Grove Pentecostal Church in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Johnny Shepherd will be delivering comforting words on the day of services. Burial will follow in the Allen Family Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Saturday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM from the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky.
