LINCOLN -- Albro Woodworth McCubbin, 93, formerly of Glasco, Ky., died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at 8:17 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Craig Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Beason.

Mr. McCubbin farmed in East Lincoln Township before he retired.

He was born March 1, 1912, at Newt, Ky., to Ovie and Vera Neggles McCubbin. He married Viola Bush on Jan. 1, 1934, in Kentucky. She died Feb. 10, 1979. He married Earlene Atwell in October 1979 in Kentucky. She died in November 2003.

He is survived by one son, Don "Chub" (and Barbara) McCubbin of Lincoln; one daughter, Ola Lavera Perce of Sacramento, Calif.; one stepson, Nelson (and Korin) Amos of Ypsilanti, Mich.; two grandchildren and one stepgrandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother and one stepbrother.

He was a member of Trammel Creek Baptist Church in Pierce, Ky., where he served as deacon for many years.
