Ursula G. Bertram, 78, Cornwall Manor, died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at home. She was the wife of the late Dr. Horst N. Bertram, to whom she was married for 54 years. They had lived in Lebanon for 37 years before retiring to Boca Raton, Fla., in 2002. They returned to Cornwall this year.
Born Dec. 5, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Ernst and Hedwig Ebert of Gentin, Germany. She was raised and educated in Berlin, Germany. Upon completing studies at business and medical technician schools, she married and immigrated to the United States in 1951. She served as a medical blood technician at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She and her husband lived in Rhode Island, Virginia, Texas, Connecticut and Ansbach and Berlin, Germany, while he was a member of the Army. She was a member of the Lebanon County Medical Society Auxiliary, serving as its president from 1979 to 1980. Surviving are daughters, Angela B., wife of James E. Carrington, and Sandra B. Johnson, both of Wilmington, Dela.; son Jeff M., husband of Lorri Bertram, of Celebration, Fla.; six grandsons; sisters Udo Ebert, Badsassendorf, Germany, and Christa Ebert, Jackson, Tenn. Memorial service Saturday, April 23 in St. Luke Lutheran Church, Schaefferstown. The Liederkranz Choir of Reading will sing. Interment was on April 13, 2005, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
