She was born July 19, 1929 in Wheatland, WY to Earl Grant and Analeta (Lawhead) Sparks.
Aurelia was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who came to know the Lord at an early age.
She married Jim Keefer on May 27, 1953 in Greenville, SC. Together they invested 38 years of their lives serving the people in Ethiopia and continued their support of missions after they retired.
She was a skilled pianist who enjoyed planning and playing for worship services and was interested in indigenous Ethiopian music. She also planned and led family singing times that were enjoyed by all.
Aurelia loved to read, was very creative, and had a wide range of interests, keeping up with everything from current events to what was going on in her grandchildren's lives.
She found humor even in the midst of difficult times. We will all miss her very much but know that she is with Jesus whom she loved above all else.
She is survived by her husband, Jim of Greeley; daughters, Jenny Patrick of Loveland, CO, Aurelia Jane (Bob) Sturm of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Emily Keefer of Loveland, Esther Keefer of Canon City, CO, Sarah (Dale) Adams of Penrose, CO; son, Jim (Erin) Keefer of Longmont, CO; grandchildren, Sammie, Rachel, Jamie, Amy, Matt, Marcy, Joel, Abenezer, and Tsega; brother, John (Sarah) Sparks of Boulder, CO; and sister, Anabeth (Vern) James of Red Feather Lakes, CO.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Kenny Patrick; and grandchildren, John, Mark and Chrissy.
