WINCHESTER--Edith W. North, 92, of Winchester, IN, passed away on Wednesday at Americare Living Center in Winchester, IN. Edith was born in Randolph County to the late Edward and Rosa (Eltzroth) North. She was a 1932 graduate of Jefferson High School.

Edith lived in the Oliver building for over 50 years in downtown Winchester. She worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Brenner, and worked at the Ranoldph County Bank as a teller for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Ellen Hillman and Eva Smith; and one brother, James G. North.

Survivors include one sister, Lyra Simmons; one brother-in-law, J. Bernard Smith; three nephews; four nieces; several great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great-nieces.

Funeral services will be held at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, IN, on Saturday at 4 p.m. with pastor Steve Connor officiating. Burial will be at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester, IN.
