Mrs. Cherry was born May 8, 1929 in Etoile, Texas, the daughter of the late I. V. (Murray) and William Dell Barnett. She passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Cherry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the co-owner of Cherry's Handy Dandy Grocery on Kurth Drive for more than 30 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cherry was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Willard Alexander Cherry; brother, William Dell Barnett; and sister, Annie Louise Barnett.
