L/Cpl. Alfred H. Stevens, Jr., 21, 1430 The Terrace, died Tuesday at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Born in Baltimore, he was a son of Mrs. Martha L. Young of Hagerstown and the late Alfred H. Stevens, Sr. He was a member of the 1974 graduating class of South Hagerstown High School and had been awarded the Leatherneck Award for excellance during basic training at Parris Island, S.C. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Dr. Richard A. Young; one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Bruner of Baltimore; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Alma S. Whipp of Hagerstown.

Services will be held at the conveniece of the family.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Arrangements were handed by Rest Haven Funeral Home.
