Gale's Note #1: Family story is that Sarah is buried in Oakwood Cemetery instead of Elmwood Hll Cemetery because, according to her daughters "she did not want to be buried at her husband's feet".
Gale's Note #2: Her death certificate and tombstone say 1865 but family and records in England show 1862. We believe she did not want it to be known that she was older than her husband. Funny how now no one cares.... She had a twin brother William John Bunce.
My mother, Jane Burgan Maddux, remembers her grandmother Sarah riding on the back of her tricycle.
