LARS LARSON
On Sunday last a young fellow named Larson, aged 17, was drowned in the mill pond near Murphy's mill at the Branch River. He was in swimming with a number of boys all of whom were younger than himself, and got into deep water. The boys who were with him became so excited that they were unable to render any assistance, although the area of water so deep as to be dangerous was quite small.
