STEPHEN SAVAGE (d. 1939)

Funeral services will be held Monday for Stephen Savage, 81, who died Friday noon at his home at Silver Lake, Manitowoc, Route 1, after suffering a stroke three days earlier.
Rites will be conducted at 9 o’clock at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9:30 at St. Joseph’s church, Silver Lake. The Rev. M. J. Windt will officiate and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.

Mr. Savage made his home on the same farm on which he was born Aug. 1. 1857.

Thirty-five years ago he married Amelia Tech, who survives with three daughters, Grace at home, Ella in Manitowoc and Mrs. Raymond Jagemann, Manitowoc; two sons, Alonzo, Black River Falls, and Clarence at home, and two grandchildren.

He was a member of the Holy Name society and a charter member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
