St. Nazianz – Funeral services for Mrs. John Scharenbroch, 46 years old, who passed away August 5, at the Holy Family hospital in Manitowoc, were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Alverno, the Rev. Specht officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, the following nephews of the deceased acting as pallbearers; Alois Knier, Bernard Scharenbroch, Edmund, Theodore, Joseph and Bernard Schad.
Mrs. Scharenbroch was born in the town of Schleswig on November 16, 1890, the daughter of the late Anton and Margaret Schad. In November 1921 she was united in marriage to John Scharenbroch in Holy Trinity church at School Hill. The couple settled on a farm near Silver Lake.
Survivors are her widower; two sons, Edward, 14 and Norbert, 12, two daughters, Margaret, 10 and Bernadette, 7; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Anhalt and Mrs. Ambrose Knier of St. Nazianz and Mrs. Joseph Scharenbroch of School Hill, and three brothers, Peter, Alois and Joseph Schad of School Hill.
