Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wiefels and Son Funeral Chapel for William August Lippman, longtime Palm Springs residence who died Saturday at Desert Hospital at age 93.
He had been a resident of Palm Springs for 30 years and during World War II was in charge of the national rationing plan for food, gas and tires in this area. He had been self employed as a financial advisor for more than 50 years since retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Lippman Bryant of Palm Springs; a son, William A. Lippman, Jr. of Los Angeles; a grandson, Lawrence F. Lippman of La Mesa; two granddaughters, Mrs. William D. Sear[s] of Long Beach and Mrs. Beverly Kearns of Buena Vista, Colorado.
The family asks for contributions to the American Heart Fund in lieu of flowers. Rev. Dean W. Miller, pastor of the Palm Desert Community Church, will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Desert Memorial Park.
