Francis was a twin to his sibling, Joseph Collins.

Born: 1 Mar 1898: Twin, *Name Note:Changed from Jerry (acc. to Family Search). Francis "Frank" Anthony Collins, 89, of 2524 North 35th St., Springfield, Oregon, died Wed., November 25, 1987. He was born March 1, 1898 in Mineral Point, the son of Peter Ambrose and Melissa Ellen (Crow) Collins. His family, descenant of early Irish immigrants who had been early residents of New York, Pennsylvania, Waldwick Twp. and Mineral Point Twp. of Iowa County, Wisconsin in the 1st 1/2 of the 1850's on his Paternal side and late 1830's on his Maternal side to Mineral Point and then onto Kendall Twp. of Lafayette Co., WI. Francis moved to California in 1926 and resided in Burkely, CA for 34 years. He retired in 1959 and in 1960 t o Springfield, Oregon.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am for Francis (Frank) Anthony Collins of Springfield. He died Nov. 25 at the age of 89.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Alice (Stuart) Collins; several nieces and nephews and great nices and nephews. Mr. Collins was the last of nine children. He is preceded in death by brothers Leo, Clarence, Joseph (twin), and sisters, Mae Collins, Anna Jackson and Marie Harris Poad. Also, two siblings who died in early childhood, John and Earl.
The services will take place at St. Alice Catholic Church with Father Cathal Brennan officiating. Burial will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Bueli Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
He had been assistant paint supervisor for a paint manufacturing company during his career. He had lived in this community since 1950. He was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodging.
